Juicing isn’t for the anxious or neurotic…

Do I feel happier?images

No.

Do I feel healthier?

No.

More energy?

Nope.

After a bit of time trying to weigh up the benefits of juicing I have to say it’s not for me. I am totally gutted that i didn’t have the positive results that people swear by and have been wondering where I went wrong. I’ve come to the conclusion:

Juicing isn’t for the anxious or neurotic!

Worrying about my energy levels and weight just made me more stressed and I honestly don’t think my body was ready for such a challenge. I love the idea of juicing holidays where you can put your feet up, soak up the sun and relax with others in the same boat, but to do it in the autumn in the UK by yourself, whilst going to work= not a good idea.

A friend went on one with Jason Vale and said she felt amazing; they had 2000 calories a day including bananas and avocados (nice bit of healthy fat and some fibre at least), 4 juices in total and got to chill out all the time. I think it really makes a different if what you’re drinking tastes good too… mine made me want to vomit fairly often!!

I can’t say I won’t do it again but will make sure I’m 100% ready.

UnknownThis week coincidentally on my course we learnt that detoxing is all well and good if you have clear pathways for the toxins to escape, otherwise they just go back into the blood. Need to do more research on what that actually means!!

  1. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Jodie. Sorry the results weren’t what you’d hoped. I think a super healthy whole food cleanse would be better for me as I’d be similarly worried that I’d lose weight on a juice cleanse.
